I feel like a lot of you aren’t understanding how deep this story is. You are looking at it from a surface level point of view. YES Eun-Byeol was the villain in this story, she did bad things. I say this to also say that she was clearly genuinely unaware that what she was doing was hurting others. She was manipulative and obsessive, but she had no idea her actions were causing harm to the ones she loved. She thought it was normal, she thought it was what she was supposed to do to protect herself and her lovers. That’s why although she’s the villain in this story, I can’t help but feel bad for her. She just wanted to be in love. She needs mental help, she needs treatment. It’s insane to me that her parents didn’t put her into a mental hospital after she literally tried to kill herself. The author did a great job at writing Eun-Byeol. She is very complex and quite frankly I enjoyed her character. I wish we could have seen a happy ending for Seon-Hee in the epilogue though, but I understand that not every story gets a happy ending.
