I'm just so tired of summaries that might imply an MC that will run away or just actually leave this toxic situation they were in the first place, but then completely switch and do the opposite (I was hoping it would be different, but then his dad gives him the book)

This just reminds me about the amount of men who hate their wives and will remain married. Like JUST LEAVE.
