Quite a number blasted the Old gen readers sometime ago, for saying they wanted the old community back, or that they missed the old community. They don't understand how hard it was to search for something and finally found it after a lot of effort. We looked out for each other by minding our own business, frequently engaging in open minded topics and recommending reads. Nobody ran to public and waved banners like the new readers are doing. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Before digitalization, scanlators were the gods. They buy and scan the titles and translate it to share, even learning a new language, taking the bat for the team. I remember people sharing updates buying their own copies after reading the scanlated projects just to have their own physical copy. When WBtöôn became a thing this fvks the sales for the traditional, then capitalists came to take a piece of their pie which is the entire pie, and now here we are.
YESSS to everything you said. I miss the good old days. the site was at its peak 10 years ago. I remember just being so lucky and happy to read wonky scans that were literally scanned images from a manga that a scanlator had purchased. I remember the different popular scan teams too!
Once these mainstream platforms came about I feel like everything changed and the community just isn’t how it used to be anymore. I’m sad with everything going on but still glad we got to experience this site and the old community <3

New manga reader are such a blabbermouth, I read illegally not bc I want to but it's banned in my country! Everything that's 18+ are banned. Even the legal international manga/manhwa are banned. They don't get the privilege they have by having the option using legal site AND illegal ones.
