it’s honestly a very tragic, pathetic story written in a very fun and lighthearted manner for some reason, it’s compelling in the sense that genuinely i kept reading in the hopes that maybe we get an AU where they could actually be together or that maybe in the side stories there would be… a happier ending because these characters are all very well drawn out, they have faces and even the friend group, they’re a recurring cast and they’re not just mobs or ugly bastards and it’s so strange to read a pornhwa this long with the plot stuck in such a helpless state of limbo that i honestly stop caring about the smut and im rooting for both of the main characters to achieve some kind of redemption
they both know that what they have is wrong and it’s such a sinful relationship but they both remain trapped in it for different reasons and it’s so hard to actually blame someone when there is no villain and this is a pornhwa and yet it is precisely because the author doesn’t show that the bottom has thrown his morals out the window and the top knows he’s in love with his papa goose and he’s not HIS papa goose he’s someone else’s papa and someone else’s husband and we see him visibly anxious for some kind of acknowledgment that he is special or to somewhat shackle him and when he realises that all those tricks he’s been playing on goose papa, it’s futile because he’s the only one who could’ve fallen and oh my god please i actually need some kind of fix-it fic or pray from author to drop an AU where maybe the bottom is the same age as top and they’re both single and they can be together without all the cheating and the gangrape and the noncon because i don’t know how they did it but this author has very successfully made me attached to them and i am rooting please for some kind of way some kind of world where they can just be together normally
