If she wanted to make a story about hirose and the teacher, she'd have done a story about the two of them without nakamura (I mean, she DID before), so yeah it's ridiculous...I just think is hirose who likes the teacher, which doesn't mean anything. yeah, she has stories in of teacherxstudent but they are all dark. Most of the syundei's stories are about pshyco, sick relatioship, male prostitutes and staff like that. Nakamura is an exception, like biribi and the one about the boy that could get hard anyone XD (not kidding that's the plot, it's hilarious)

usagi drop is universally hated and basically destroyed the author's credibility with their readers, so im sure the author of this story knows she will receive backlash if she were to actually make the student x teacher canon. all the weird moments are probably to create drama, thereby retaining readers' attention and garnering attention to the work, and/or personal shipping... either way, there's a lot of works with unnecessary rivals that never end up as the actual love interest so i wouldnt care too much about it

this ended in 2021 im pretty suretheres a sequel called "Yuruku Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!!" that started in 2025 but i dont think its been translated on here yet

i need yall to use the few remaining braincells you have bc if the author really went the hirose x teacher route they will betray the premise, effectively kill this fandom and the manga's popularity, and any potential sales in the future. maybe the author are actually shipping it, and thus baiting it in the work, but if they had any common sense they would not make it canon.
