seems like most of us are confused but i think i got the main picture.
our mc believes she’s in the game and on her 44th playthrough. however, its becoming more and more apparent that its not just a game and there’s real story and people behind it. it’s unclear if she IS lee harin or if she’s always been lynn and her past life is fake. either way, we don’t and can’t know.
she has the ability to swap consciousness with amber (blonde) from a “past” run/before she came to the mansion, but also able to jump through time, although it seems like only mikael’s time. her actions in the past as amber (and further) are directly changing her future. it’s a lot of timey wimey stuff but essentially it’s paradoxical since mikael is obsessed with mc because of her future self. technically for him, he meets her when he was in the catacombs, then realises her soul is in amber’s, and then recognising current lynn as the girl from the catacombs way back when. his possession(?) of cheshui is probably for both the ghost and convenience.
the main mystery is finding out about this secret order that both amber and others were in with the supposed goal of killing the children. lynn’s body appears to be a part of this order too, without mc’s knowledge of it. ML seems to be of a higher dimension and is also solving the mystery, albeit only for MC.
now ML has reveals that he’s watched her die over and over with this same playthrough, so it’s gotta be some timeloop shit.
