Ugh

My personal opinion but I really wished they did not have sex. He raised him since he was a kid, they might not be blood related but he raised him, hence the grooming, even though he did his best to be a father figure, it's just so disturbing he has sex with his adoptive son just like that. I hoped the kid would stay with an unrequited love until he moved on to someone else (and probably be heart broken for a while), and the dad stayed true to his role...

But as others commented, it's an old BL, incest and grooming were more common. I'm glad we're slowly getting out of all those SA, incest, grooming trops. There's so much more to BL than those trops.

yea, as someone who was adopted as a baby, this grosses me the fuck out. there really isn't (or shouldn't be) any difference between a biological father and an adoptive father. you adopted this child to be exactly that - a father. no father (normal ones at least) should even be physically able to get it up and have sex with their child?? while i can't truly speak for everyone who's grown up with their bio parents, i do think my observations of other families and comparing it to my own experience, it pretty much aligns. i'd be traumatised beyond repair if my dad did anything sexual towards me and i doubt it would be any less worse just because we're not related by blood. so the fact that pseudo incest is such a common trope here, makes me think a lot of people has a disturbed image of what adoption really is like lmao

Thanks you for your insight. Definitely a twisted idea on adoption (and on other things too!)

No one in their right mind would :
1 fuck their child (you're the parent, father/mother figure, this is fucked up to be sexually attracted to your own kid, I'm sorry not sorry pleased head to therapy) being or not being blood related as no say in this matter, 'oh but it's not his real dad'. He is. He raised him. He put himself into the father role.
2 fuck a child (age gap is probably 20 years + as the dad was a working adult at the time he got to care for the kid).

I guess I'm okay until 10 year + age gap. More than this in my mind is like 'no'. Especially when you get to meet when one is a kid. Your ideas, personality, values, sexualities are still in the making. It doesn't sat right for me as the kid can be influenced by the adult especially as the dad has power over the kid. I guess if they would have met at a stage of early adulthood for the son (not being his son ofc), I would have been ''meh too much age gap but I can deal with it'.

And i know it's fiction blablabla but SA, incest, grooming in fiction doesn't make it less disgusting, irksome and wrong. I've been reading yaoi for 20 years now, we're getting more and more good stories but damn those trops are though to kill. And I would have been out sooner if the warned us by tagging accordingly.

The fact there is “incest fiction” should probably be more of a concern than someone expressing an opinion about it.
