I don't think she's alive, it's probably in the afterlife and ml could have been reliving the life they promised to each with the letters fl wrote like (imagining it) and I'm pretty sure she died cuz in the beginning we get a four shadowing of old(alone) shimpen telling the story about the girl she loves in the beginning
Ofc im happy its a happy ending but i will also say that its so fucking dumb satoko didnt look for him. It can be taken metaphorically but its obviously not. It just feels like after all the shit we went through, youre going to tell me she was alive this entire time???? She should’ve just remained dead
