Right, it is kinda wholesome how they changed it for the fans.
I also wasn't surprised the author didn't plan for any romance, this storyline structure is very similar to adult/dating/otome/harem games and I also find it similar to the straight manhwa "Madam" the main guy is hot/cute and he goes around having sexual interactions with mostly any woman with a name.
But now the author of that one is also planning to do some romance but I don't know if it was just to appease fans.
