i don’t think you understand how grooming works irl. that large of an age gap where one is under the age of 25 is grooming, period. it’s also grooming if there is a power imbalance, which there is. so on multiple levels, it is grooming.
grooming isnt just the presence of a power imbalance tho, is what im saying. we have yet to see how him and the mom ended up in a relationship but in the first place we're lead to believe that they met while he was hosting and and eventually fell for each other outside of their client/host relationship. to my understanding grooming entails gaining the trust of someone under false pretenses to eventually break their boundaries into them giving you typically sexual intimacy. and why is 25 the specific cutoff here for whether or not its grooming lmao? this is an unhealthy dynamic for sure but not on the basis of grooming. like sure they were in a position where the mother was probably paying him but not in the way that she was his sole form of income, he was a popular host for gods sake he could've easily stayed at his prev job and continued to make money unless she was purposefully manipulating the situation to where he had to rely on her– which We Don't Know Yet.
