While you were right about it, I don't think he's trying to baby trap Hardy... I do think he's gonna bond with him asap, though. I think part of it was a trap and part of it was out of concern because the others did try to force Able to leave Hardy (and would probably hurt Hardy - if he hadn't turned into an Omega).
