It took eleven chapters to tell us she’s an Isekai reincarnation? Or did I just miss the earlier memo?? I feel like the author forgot their own setting.

You missed it in chapter 1 where she said that she used to be a normal person and died in a car accident. It's like one panel.

So author made a one-off and then otherwise treated it as if it never existed?? If the readers can forget something so important, they ain’t doing it right. (`m´#)

Well, I didn't forget and it's clearly important since it's the reason she wants to work. The author doesn't needs to remind us every chapter if you forgot that's on you

I’m saying there should be more indicators. Memories? Former influences? Former attachments? Any little quirks and habits?? She has to give off the impression, at the very least, that she has some sort of outside influence. If it really is only one panel and then you literally can’t tell she was reincarnated, no, it’s not on me, it’s really bad characterization.

Does everything you do day-to-day need flashbacks of you when you were in primary school?
Being reincarnated is an event that happened to her that shapes her personality and past, but does not need to be her entire personality and character trait. She's Mythril, not ms.reincarnated girl.

Who said anything about primary school? I just want the writer to give us some way to remember her setting. Assuming this series comes out at the same rate as normal series, if the only times reincarnation is mentioned are chapters one and eleven, thats like ten months of time between reading and I forgot after reading in one sitting because it was passed over so quickly.

It should not be this easy to forget a character’s setting. Sometimes it won’t be a flashback, it’ll be someone commenting on her doing something she shouldn’t have experience in, but she does. Or she used to do something one way that was more efficient, but this world picked up on it yet. Hell, a text box introduction for story framing on the first page to remind you of the progress of the story???

There’s no point in the reincarnation setting if people can’t remember it’s there and it isn’t being used. Mythril by herself could’ve gotten into this story situation without a past life for all the impact it’s making on the story.

I was using primary school as an analogy as it's a major event that happens in your past.
I'll use another one - a migrant moving to another country, with the past life being their life in their home country.
I'm completely on board that it shouldn't be something mentioned once and discarded, but it doesn't have to be the only thing that drives her actions in the new country.
Her drive to work stems from the culture in Japan and her maturity and optimism is due to the extra years of experience she had before isekaing. She has a different attitude to noblewomen life than typical women, is that not enough to explain and pay homage to her past life? Does she have to scream "ai am japanese!!!!" in every move?
I don't really feel the need for her to say, look at an event every chapter and be reminded of Japan or bring up Japan. Some mangas have to look at food and think of japanese ramen and rice, look at a hot guy and think of idols on tv, start picking random weeds off the ground because they have "japanese knowledge".
It's only been 10,11 chapters, I am optimistic that her knowledge from Japan's technology, education etc. will come to play a larger role now that we have moved out of the introduction arc.
Though if you have read the entire series and that is not the case, ignore me!
