Interesting theory but after the recent chapter (79) I’d be bullshit about it. I do read other dark stuff (some of my favs) but this just leaves a bad taste in my mouth due to the constant teasing of Cliff’s presence, the hopelessness of Leon escaping, and the possibility that it’s all for nothing
I'm wondering if Cliff died for real but then the pieces of his soul scattered and then "regrew" into Nergal, Mephisto, the other guys, etc. If you look at their designs they have at least one aspect of Cliffs og design like skin or eyes or hairstyle, so maybe the endgame is that Leon essentially has a harem of "Cliff"
