I think it’s the regret has been building up since he saw Doc’s state in the countryside, but then seeing his past behavior, disposition, and actions reflected back at him through that creepy doctor burst the proverbial dam.
So he saw his horrible abusive self in the light after speaking to the doctor who abused Dan first.
jk is just now realizing that he may have feelings for the doc. he started to feel that during the time that Doc left jk to take care of his grandma.
Think about the fun side of things, turn off your brain and believe. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
When he starts to feel bad, all his defenders back then suddenly change their mind as well
But to me it doesnt make sense that he starts to feel bad about what he did to poor doc.. where does that even come from... maybe its been too long and i forgot it just doesnt make sense...
