Short answer to your question is no, if your reading list still hasn't returned, then you most likely won't receive any updates. Personally, updates only came back for me when some in my lists came back.

As for how it goes, the stuff bookmarked before and around 2021 are getting back in people's lists. But even if your account is from 2020, as long as you haven't bookmarked anything around this time yet, then you'll most likely have to wait a bit longer.
Will it give you a notif whenever a chapter update if I don't have them as my reading list now that it's gone? My acc is from 2020, so I've been waiting patiently.
