When they were talking about illegitimate children the way it was shown. My theory leans that ain is an illegitimate child/sibling to Ian. Hence the name/look similarity. Also why he's a servant and has a rugged experienced body. Also also why he might have 2 mothers.
OR the most cliche thing is that he is Ian, but I doubt it. It's too obvious.
