Rose was captured by the major and she drank poison causing her to lose her voice. I think he hits her in the stomach? Not sure. After that she was sent to a detention camp where she loses so much weight and even has a miscarriage. So the cell was full of her blood+ the smell. The major thought it was the older brother’s child and dismisses it. everyone at the cell thought she was doing this cuz she liked the older brother so they degraded her saying the only thing good was her face etc. The major dry laughs when he announces her that her parents was sent to a detention camp in the north where its much more harsh to where she’s living, as a Christmas gift. She didn’t rlly have a choice but to obey the older brother and to poison him… well thats just my opinion tho

Wait does he capture her thinking she was the woman who poisoned him without realizing she is his lover or captures her knowing both? Pls that’s all I need to know and I’ll read the novel.
