While I agree Valery needs to jump off a cliff. Compared to other stories like Steel Under Silk this man ain’t that bad
i can tell they havent read the worse ones
steel under silk is obviously going for a tragic ending & the mc does act and advance the plot fairly often, there’s a difference since in this it seems like we’re going to eventually get a happy ending & are supposed to sympathize with the ml being pitiful when they could just not, asil has had the plot happen to him except for like one event, etc.
kys valery, in all the stories i’ve read with horrible characters never have i come across one that is simultaneously so irredeemable & the author wants us to sympathize with. if you’ve changed then let him go & never show yourself! at least others have the decency to either attempt redemption or be open in how awful they are
