geniuely reading itafushi makes me want to throw up, why is megumi always drawn like a twink when he is nowhere near that like he literally looked like a child in some panels, and ofocurse we have itadori who HAS to be muscular and big and strong and dont get me wrong, he is canonically but thats just overdoing it, everything here felt so corny and ooc

Didn’t read this yet so I cannot comment on the art here, but canonically Yuji is 20kg heavier then Megumi. That is a lot of muscle mass, Megumi is depressed so I’d assume it’s kinda like he forgets to eat. He also has muscles but would be of a skinnier build while Yuji would be buff.

Idk I think this might just be based on what u urself have read. Sure this work drew Megumi all twinkified here, but to say it's an issue w/ itafushi is a lil much. I agree that the way they're portrayed here is exaggerated but that's not always the case. I've seen some pretty good comics out there but I digress (⌒▽⌒)

Yeah, I also think it just has to do with the inherent sexism/misogyny in bl. Idk what else to call it cause I just started noticing it, but sometimes there's this vibe in the artstyle that just uses the blueprint of straight smut and just makes the bottom a boy and nothing else. Idk if that made any sense? Its just an epiphany I had recently, when considering the use of cow animal characteristics/lingerie/play as an example. The bottom is always a cow despite the fact that all cows are female, bulls are male cows.
I dunno, maybe its just a pattern in the bl that I tend read or whatever.

No ur right. ig it's bcuz we really can't beat the patriarchy and it's toxicity no matter where we go. Bl's in specific, seem to *need* to fit into gender norms. Like a bottom needs to be "feminine" while the top has to be "masculine." It's just toxic patriarchal social norms trying to force themselves into queer stories. (;一_一)
