now im wondering if ebisu is ebisu/hiroko/Kotoshiro-nushi-no-kami , one of susanoo's brothers in mythology and one who is actually the god of fishermen and luck which tracks with ebisu due to the luck thing. looking forward to his backstory too since ebisu in japanese mythology was abandoned by his parents.
