So the story is being described as having a bad plot, how? It’s such a unique story. I feel like this is one of the few stories that takes a legitimately fresh path. There’s just so much variety tossed into this chaos salad and yet it’s tasty. For once, I don’t feel like I’m choking down stale trope.

Of course, there are only a limited number of topics in existence. Most methods to describe a topic involve taking the same well beaten paths and trying to put a new spin on the path’s described scenery. The travel brochures for those topics have been done, done, and done again, until the paths are so warn they’re muddy. Yet, this story seems to take an entirely fresh new path that I haven’t seen before. I am honestly fascinated by this story.

I’m loving the mystery and suspense that plays alongside the romance. The fantasy is well balanced between logic and imagination. The characters are all likable, including the ones you love to hate. Plus, this story is staying almost true to nature by having the red herrings traveling in schools. I am here, watching this fantastical show of red herring spawning, and wondering if I can find a single true herring among them. What is real? What’s actually happening? Who is the good guy? Who is the bad guy. There’s just so much I want to know. And whether red or real, I could gobble them all up!
