I think the reason the egg never hatched till now cause he only feels negative emotions from both parents ( Old MC wanting leave immedietly ML not being able to care for it due to 'heart break')
So its only understandable why it took that as 'My parents hate me' So He mustve be so hopeful rn asking if they dont hate them Aww poor baby
