This story is pretty good compared to other BL manhwa I've read. The seme actually has character development, and the uke isn’t spineless—unlike in other BL manhwa where the uke immediately forgives the seme after just a little begging.
In this story, the uke almost never forgives the seme. Even near the end, when the seme says he’ll let him go, the uke doesn’t hesitate at all—he really intends to leave. He’s only stopped because the seme holds him back, and of course they do end up together in the end.
For me, it’s a bittersweet ending. But I’m hoping their side stories will be more fluffy. So far, only two raw episodes of the side story have been released, so let’s see how it goes.
ive read the novel, and 100% to all of this and more. in my honest opinion, i feel like the manwha is underselling a lot of how desperate valery is around this section and from here on out. asil is also very much not a pushover, and dw the sidestories are very cute imo
