Yes, i agree so much!! While the general public have the common misconception that bdsm strictly consists of sexual, "violent" and "hardcore" plays. I really really love this story as it explores the different facets of bdsm and how nuanced bdsm really is! This story also portrays a really healthy and realistic relationship/dynamic between Mizuki/Toru, which is incredibly rare when it comes to the portrayal of bdsm in bl.
Despite this being about bdsm, I feel like we didn’t get any crazy hardcore bdsm sex scenes. But overall I loved the story. I loved the art and the facial expressions. There were some funny bits. The uke had some silly moments. But I really like how vulnerable each character was with each other. And these characters felt more like real people with complex emotions. They weren’t generic sadists and masochists. Like when the seme said its important the his bf gets a job and is an independent person outside of their sexual relationship and that’s how to have healthy boundaries of bdsm. That felt very real. Unlike other stories where the sadist would want their partner to be chained in their house and never go out. I don’t love how the story ended. The last chapter about being outted all for it to not really matter felt like it fell short to me. But overall I found this story and couple and art extremely charming.
