A lot of manhwa with real life settings that involved international relationship always ended up this way.

Their country is the hero and US is their friend.

Tbh I was rather dumbfounded with one of them.
It was blurry in my mind whether he was simply regressed or regressed to another identity but he regressed in the body of a chaebol's grandchild.
He showed off how he was a genius, went to college abroad at a young age, picking up talent left and right and built connection with even US President George W Bush.

What I remeber was he regressed into Chaebol family and in his 2nd life he was lobbying the next US president which happened to be that one.
I can't even remember the main plot anymore.

I don't know if it's the antagonist who is doing that, but the author decided, yeah let's make MC someone who covered up war crimes.
It kinda implying whether what's the US doing is right or wrong, they would still chhose their side even by making justification for their actions.

Anyway it's *live . Anyway, you are right us is always an ally or not a priority for almost and every characters in most of manhwas I read.

I wonder if SK ever learn about their history. The amount of bootlicking US scene is crazy. They're literally colonized by them, most of US don't even think being in the same level as them. It's astonishing.

There were manhwa about it but it hasn't reached that chapter yet.
I was enjoying regression story atm and decided to read the novel because I was curious about the end of the story.
And I was hit by this scene in the middle of the novel.

I was curious if there were ever a korean novel or manhwa with US as the antagonist tbh.
I'm not expecting anything big but at least I want to read the creation of an author who was not a sheep.

Usually it's Chinese novel that has that kind of plot. Some are not that subtle about their hate of USA.

The antagonists in Korean manhwa is always China and Japan.
And their international friend is always from US and Europe.

I kinda understand about Japan because of what they did to half of earth before. Iykyk. But I don't understand the hate against china? Did china do something against them before? Anyway,you are right. It's always the us, the us is the most powerful. Not even Europe nor Russia. Always US is the one controlling us. BUT , if we remember very well. Ancient US is really good at manipulating the situation and people. They are always the hero, the friend and the protector. They are never seen as an antagonist on any countrie's ancient history. Even when they invaded Philippines before, they are still known as heroes.

In the ancient China era, there were divisions in China's power, and Korea at that time was called Goryeo(?) was often independent states. But with the fluctuation of war state in ancient China era, sometimes they were invaded and there were an era they were conquered.
But when China was united, Goryeo was more like a Vassal state.

You know what happened to vassal states, depending on the ruler at the time, just like any other, they were looked down on by the people from mainland and I'm sure a lot of negative things happened.

The authors would get banned if they write US clearly as an antagonist.
Alas if you are not wealthy, you would get pressured by their power.
Even if you are wealthy, their connections are vast so you might even got bankrupt.
There needs to be a turning point which reduced their power so we could start publishing that kind of story.
I hope I'm still alive when that happened.
