it's the same artist in both seasons, idk if there's different people who do the lighting and rendering tho i doubt it
Apparently the artist was bullied for her art style in season 1?? Which I don't get at all, S1 art is so much better T_T I wish she hadn't changed it
what the heck, korean is fricking weird man, how are the season 2 art better than season 1, the line is bluring and seem unsure, i guess it make sense why taekjoo "whiter" in season 2 bcs ofc korean hate dark skin, yikes, poor the artist maybe the rather long pause between season 1 and season 2 caused by that issue too..
Actually, I think Taekjoo was just meant to have a lighter skin this season. First, he’s stressed and it affects his skin tone. Second, Asians lose their tan extremely easily in cold weather (as an Asian myself I can attest to that). Third, it was actually described in the novel that Taekjoo became pale when he was at Zhenya’s mansion.
aah i see, but aside from paler skin my biggest issue was the light I don't know how to explain but lightning seem messier in season 2 and blurred lines, it feels like there's a new person behind the pen try mimicking the original art style but failed, previous comment mention that the illustrator got hate so i get it maybe she try so hard to please the reader with changing art style that still unfamiliar for her
are ppl in charge of drawing and coloring resigned after season 1? There's too much light in season 2 and taekjoo skin is lighter, therefore its not so contrast with zenya's anymore, plus his lips looking dry asf (I know his situation but in season 1 that lips is always moisturized and shiny), season 1 is so much better
