I'll only say this here and now because I'm genuinely disappointed in this story. It held so much promise and it has possibly one of the greatest (and most adorable) female protagonists I've ever seen in a manhwa series—who is unfortunately bound to one of the most *insufferable* MLs I've ever had the displeasure of reading for.
Riftan’s feelings may be understandable, but his behavior towards Maxi, throughout most of book 1 is not. And the story consistently excuses, minimizes, or eroticizes that behavior instead of condemning it. I'll see book 1 through to the end, but I will not continue into book 2, especially knowing what Riftan does to Maxi after her return.
