Addendum: I was infuriated by how superficial Jiwon’s character is to the extent of weaponizing his first-time experience in dating like all that apprehension of breaking up and being so oblivious that he appears like a jerk when he justifies his behavior because he couldn’t explain properly his thoughts. Like bfr, lol.
I first watched the BL drama of this w/o knowing it was a live adaptation of the manhwa, and I thought of it as a “meh” cuz there’s just so much left to unpack, like Jiwon’s gymnastics career and the growth of the publicity of their relationship. I looked up the internet for similar opinions and stumbled across the manhwa. I hoped the adaptation just sucked and the manhwa would redeem it—there were indeed redeemable parts, true, but it just felt lacking and the author wasn’t able to deliver what I was expecting. It was an okay read, the art is good but not worth a reread.
