Alot of comments don't understand grief and love....lol If I marry a widow I wouldn't want them to forget their first husband and the love and memories they have (same situation if a lover passed away) the grief may evolve and change but is always going to be there. Because SOMEONE DIE and they were loved, you are NOT going to change that fact. Don't treat the love for the dead the same as someone being hung up on their ALIVE ex.
When you enter their life you are going to start writing another page of the story without erasing their past. That doesn't mean they don't love you, the love they have for you is going to be different. Why would you try to win over someone that is dead.....
I'm a different person, of course they're going to love me differently, and if we broke up I'm also going to love the next person differently.
