This is one of the manhwas I was really looking forward to reviewing once I finished reading it, because it was just that good. The story is incredibly well-written, and so is the development of the characters. What I love most is that the characters do not necessarily change drastically, but instead remain true to their beliefs and to their love for each other until the very end.
I was initially hesitant to read this because some people said that the female lead was weak, but I strongly disagree. In fact, she is one of the strongest female leads out there. She stays true to her beliefs, and I think her personality and convictions are very realistic for the time period of the story.
A lot of people also say that the male lead is a red flag, but I disagree with that too. For me, he is a green flag because of how devoted he is to his wife and how constantly he reassures her. He openly expresses his love for her, which is rare to see in main leads, and their mutual affection feels genuine and refreshing. They really complement each other. Their personalities may clash at times, but as they say, opposites attract.
Honestly, aside from the title Betrayal of Dignity, I think Pride and Prejudice would also suit them perfectly. They may have started on the wrong foot, but it was love at first sight. I truly loved this story from beginning to end. It was a bumpy ride at times, but the writing, dialogue, art, character designs, and overall storytelling were all amazing. This one is truly a gem and definitely a keeper.
