Well.. i don't want him to die from the infection... Better to not have that part than to die of it
The infection passed and he has ghost pains from the wound, but at least he still has his leg...

My friend, that would absolutely kill him. If you can't care for a bullet wound, how could you care for an amputation? The state of his leg was not nearly great enough to consider something so drastic and deadly.
No it isnt black now, it just got infected so many times that it couldnt heal properly because they didnt have access to antibiotics and such, so now he has chronic pain, which does get worse with the cold. But its better than not having a leg and it is healed now
Ah got it i thought its black now and will slowly kill him
Can't they just chop off his leg... And move on like... No?
