The beginning was a bit odd, but the story is actually about overcoming trauma, taking control of your own life, consent and homophobia. I love that there was actual character development for both the mc and ml, it's not common in these type of stories. The ml is logical and mature, actually a good person that can admit their mistakes. I actually liked the ending but it was a bit sudden.
