Probably to help remove any debris that may have gotten stuck to the skin that was in the oil or potion or whatever it was that spilled. Plus everything is a learning experience for Belma as well so for someone without his OP healing that would be a practical step.
Considering Rex op power that cleanly healed the dad wounds, is it necessary to do clinical treatment like cleaning the wound and some stuff? I kinda understand cutting the child clothes but not the "burn treatment kit"
