Commenting incase anybody answers
hello.. I'm not related to the site management at all but I've simply noticed because of how I've managed my ratings:
I got all my finished reads back, with their tags and ratings as they were.
I'm waiting on +60 reading, they were rated and had tags on them too
on the other hand. I'm worried about the want to reads, I had about ~700 and some pretty old ones were there since I've been a user since 2018..
I think it's giving people back their finished readings first in case they want to save their records in other sites like MAL or anilist if they haven't before, since looking for unread is of course easier than knowing what you actually read....
I can only hope it's only a matter of waiting until everything's back. It took 3-4 days for my reads to come back after all.
I have some stuff on my reading list back, although they're still mixed together in the already read list, and I never rate those. I also very rarely tag works.
I got a few "want to read" back and I also never rate those. But then they stop updating.
I think we just need to be a bit patient, hopefully they can bring the complete lists soon :)
Mine didn't make it back at all (︶︿︶) everything is gone even those that were tagged and had ratings. I've waited for a week, but my lists were still empty, so I manually saved those mangas/manhuas/manwhas that I still remember reading, have read, and want to read.
I've also only gotten back what I tagged, thank goodness I'm partial to tagging things, but everything of mine got shoved in the "want to reads section" I had to go through one by one putting them back in the already reads. I still only recovered 900 series of the 1200 I have read. I had to go through 500+ things mismarked as Want to Reads T^T
can ppl stop replying unless they can answer the main question “ NO TAGS, NO STAR RATINGS, come back as well? ” we already know tagged stuff is coming back lol. Maybe I’ll figure out a way to directly ask the owners but idk how for now
Nevermind, mine's back! I just rechecked whoop whoop! but those are saved way back in 2021 so I guess they were just coming back slowly as per the announcement.
Here is a message between someone and a dev about this topic. It seems it’s most likely not coming back if not tagged/rated etc. I’m putting stuff into list I make myself for the time being. Gonna wait a bit just incase before I start actually readding to the want ti read/reading/completed section. So I know it’s tiring to keep asking about the situation that we have here in this site about our want to read/reading/already read lists. Believe me, I know the devs are working on it and I am very patient. (I’m just grateful we still have the site) But, I just want to ask, will the mangas/hwas/huas that I saved with NO TAGS, NO STAR RATINGS, come back as well? When I save my stuff, I only write comments (like what chapter I last read, my thoughts, and others) I also keep my comments private (I click the box under it).
I just wanna know whether my stuff with no tags and rating will come back, cuz I’ve noticed that so far, the ones that came back to my page are stuff that I accidentally tagged, and rated. With no comments whatsoever.
