Nah, I get u. It's rlly the fetishization of grape in bl stories. Idrc about authors using that as a plot(lazy writing if u ask me), but what annoys me is the fact that SOOOO many actual good bl stories don't get much attention as those manhwas that r full of grape. Literally that whole category of who to vote to get the possibility of an anime?? Btch the top two is a grape paradise. Imo if we're talking about actual good stories, it should be "The Hunter Wants to Live Quietly" (or other bl manhwas with good writing) at be the top.
Cuz be serious rn. Want to be a rich popular bl author?? Write a story that has handsome/pretty top that constantly grapes the bottom, then the bottom slowly loses their mind and eventually falls. BOOM, ur immediately popular.
Guys I just realised with the disappearance of reading lists and whole chaos how I’ve been quitting so many stories, and how I only really like few of em. Im not generalising or anything, but there is so much non-consensual shit in em, and it’s often just brushed off. And like I genuinely don’t enjoy it, so I just don’t read, but in a lot of series that I really like, suddenly out of nowhere is some occurrence of grape, SA. And I know authors always used it, but why is there so much of it, not saying it’s everywhere, as this is my experience, but I’m just so annoyed that rape is normalised. Like no, it’s not okay. So I’m just sad tbh, cause quite an amount of stories that I’m following are going down the drain. Anyway I was wondering if it’s just me that’s feeling this way
