I completely agree. I’ve been reading BL/yaois for 10 years and I must say rape was very common in 2000/2010 yaois I think it’s linked to rape culture that was still very strong at the time but in 2026 I want to say that we are all aware of those issues. Also if i am being real the readers are the main reason why manhwa authors still put rape in their BLs. When you see Jinx, codename Anastasia being the most popular manhwas, i can understand why some authors would want to follow the rape train. I want to point out why some readers are interested in those but my comment would be too long.
