her gender rlly shouldn't matter, but the way some people are commenting have acknowledged her gender (whether deliberately or not) and resulted to slut-shaming her as a way to express their anger. I'm not saying she's innocent, by any means, but calling her a "hoe" probably isnt most the tactful way to go abt it. Especially when someone in that story have referred to our protagonist, Je-oh, in that manner, bc of his, as well as hee-seong's, relationship with the red light district. If she were a man, would anyone talk about her with these derogatory terms? or does these words only apply to women like hee-seong?
Definitely would call any hoe a hoe! That's where manhoe is useful lolololol! But I wouldn't call Je-oh a hoe. They were both prostitutes but only Hee-seong is a hoe because of her desired outcome. She uses people to get to the top in an attempt to build wealth. She a hoe, literally! Well, "whore". Je-oh's was survival. They started the same, but did not become the same. Je-oh wanted freedom and revenge for what he went through, then, found love on the way. You cannot convince me Hee-seong has any love in her other than for her greed. I don't believe in defending someone just bc we have the same gender (or anything really). There's amazing female characters out there, she just isn't one of them.

guys, ngl, i think we can hate Jeon Hee-seong all we want but some of these comments are kinda crossing into misogynistic territories...
