Ahhhh this is cute ! Luckily, I still read it even though the rating was under 9 and I’m...

Don't go by ratings always. I read comments, the description, genre and cover page to determine if the plot is a good read. (▰˘◡˘▰)

I find that for manga, it can be good as long as it's 8.7 or over, whereas for a webtoon / vertical format it's rarely ever good if under a 9.3 - and yes often the summary, comments and most importantly first chapter will help me build expectations

I've read mangas with 8.2 rating and they turn out to be absolute hidden gems.
