Anyway, yall probably already have an idea that zigril knows of the "betrayal". He does, and he doesn't care because in his and schuman's eyes its not betrayal because they "never trusted each other" in the first place. Long story short, schuman got all the money he wanted and the diamond mine, zigril killed the people who was behind the treason and they got the mirror of targo. The mirror of targo is basically a mirror created by this sorcerer who had his heart broken many times by the women he loved. If u were to look into the mirror, you will see what or who your heart truly desires/loves.
Zigril said he wanted to get the mirror because he wants to see who Kay loves. Zigril, kay and schuman go on this journey to find the mirror and kay witnesses zigril "die" many times. But ofc, zigril is not zigril if he is easily killed. Until they acquired the mirror, schuman told kay a "surprise" will be waiting for zigril when they return to the palace. Kay doesnt tell Zigril anything until it happens and he starts panicking and begs Zigril not to go inside the palace. Lighting will strike down on Zigril but they survive, zigril kills the last of the people behind the treason.
The mirror is broken because of what went down, actually zigril used the mirror shards to kill the people striking lighting down on them. Schuman will be one to gather the shards afterwards and this is the quote from the direct translation: "In the dimly lit mirror, Jigril and Kay were dimly reflected. Jigril and Kay were reflected in the mirror. Jigril and Kay were walking toward the gate. Jigril was reflected in Jigril's place, and Kay was reflected in Jigril's place."
Kay has said it to himself many times during act 8 that he was unfortunate to like zigril. He knows he's cooked he just didn't want to admit it. There was even a scene where Kay asked zigril if he loves him and zigril said yes, Kay only verbally said it back to him when he thought zigril was going to be struck by lightning. He thought: "In truth, the world would be better off without this man, but it was now difficult for her to imagine a world without Zigril, so she had no choice. Seeing herself conjuring up such terrifying words-"I can't live without Zigril"-Kei realized, with a pang of conviction, that she truly loved this man."

Kay KNOWS and ACKNOWLEDGES that what Zigril did to him is fcked up. After the confession in act 8, Zigril will buy another flower from merchants and offer it to kay in act 9. Yes, he OFFERED it to kay and said he wants another child with kay, but now willingly. They're not stupid, they both know oz was conceived bcs zigril forced him. Kay drinks it on the spot. In the epilogue, kay ran away again bcs zigril is still a piss of sheyt. When he was sweet talking kay, zigril said that the meaning of aloysha in another language is "beloved" which is why he wanted to give it to kay so badly. Schuman revealed to kay after waking up that the flower was named after the man who discovered it, not whatever zigril told him. Kay got so pissed he went to a pub (drank milk) and there, zigril and oz went to retrieve him.
I know some of yall dont like zigril's character for what he did to kay and thats aight. He does love zigril despite what he says, this was actually shown in the first novel when zigril asked if kay was worried about him. Kay said yes. As to why kay wont admit it, its simple. During his past relationships with women, when they broke up with him, they always told him he never truly loved them. He said he saw himself with them in the future but they told him, "if you could have a child and future with every woman you've been with, you do not love them". Kay never fought for them during the break up, as he is someone who let things go very easily. Zigril baby trapping Kay is wrong but what did you expect from a lunatic like him? Kay almost left him before and zigril wasn't going to let that happen, he is never going to let that cookie go.
This doesn't change shit. They still love each other, its just that Zigril will do literally anything to have his way. True to his monstrous nature.
Forgot to add that the lightning striking zigril was a real one at first. Kay thought schuman's surprise was another ambush for zigril. It kinda was but then after the first lightning strike, they were all just fireworks and bcs the sounds it made was similar to thunder, Kay panicked and professed his love to zigril. Seeing how desperate he was, zigril didn't think he needed the mirror to see who kay really loves. Kay and zigril never got to see their reflections in the mirror, only Schuman did and he never told them lol

Ya he was already pregnant lol it was even told from the pov of a bystander and she was wondering why he wasn't asking for alcohol. Kay ordered another milk after finishing the first and when zigril came he loudly said "Stress isn't good for the baby"
