Can someone explain to me what exactly happened with Lee Sayoung (2nd world) and Sayoung (3rd world) soul merging thing? Did they merge souls or did the Lee Sayoung from the 2nd world just disappear to give Sayoung (3rd world) his own body back? Im still at ch 199 and I'm just confused, i couldnt catch up with what they were saying, also were im reading the translation is kinda rough

    I'm at chapter 300s in the novel and I still can not find absolute answer about this either. From my understanding, Lee Sayoung (2nd world) and Sayoung (current timeline) merged slowly at some point for good period of time until Lee Sayoung (2nd world) stopped emerging. Pacing of the novel in the middle until the latest chapters is a bit messy and sometimes hard to understand because too many filler chapters in between. Part of 2nd Lee Sayoung and current Sayoung was draggy too IMO. Sayoung kept pass out for weeks - months, couple of times during this period of time while J was busy dealing with the system, the end of the world, solo mission dealt with monster and also he went back to 2nd world too. And in the midst of everything, filler chapters in between. There is no clear separation part. When I look into forum, not much clear answer either, just spoilers meaning many readers also have no clue although many have read until the latest chapters.
    I am genuinely glad that I'm not the only one who find the novel is hard to understand LOL.

    I did noticed that 2nd Lee Sayoung stop showing up after awhile. But the thing is, there was part of the novel when Lee Sayoung is the axis of 2nd world so, his soul trapped there (?). Did I remember it wrong? Also the collision between 2nd and 3rd world did happen so it's logical that their souls merged into one.

    Thank you for your answer, few things slipped off from my mind.

    since they merged, the job of being the axis falls onto our current sayoung. it's why the events in 243-246 happen.

    Really? Actually the reason i thought 2nd world Lee Sayoung disappeared was because of this monologue;

    Lee Sa-young ran a hand through his hair. Cha Eui-jae saw it then— his
    dark hand was becoming faintly transparent. His heart sank.

    ‘Is he disappearing?’

    Before Cha Eui-jae could say anything, Lee Sa-young spoke first, as if
    knew exactly what Cha Eui-jae was going to say. His voice was indifferent.

    “I wasn’t planning on staying long anyway. Even though the other me was
    desperately trying to come after me, I just… acted a bit petty.”
