“I want to wear those words of yours”
can someone enlighten me on their interpretation of jun’s sentence? It’s past midnight and my brain isn’t computing. Is it about being ‘clothed’ by the reassurance that Yaharu can think of Jun as a pillar of intimacy? That’s why he says that he’s okay with it?

"I want to wear those words of yours" is Jun expressing the massive amount of faith he puts in Yaharu's judgement/verdict of his character, because Yaharu - through his work as Koin Aoi - is the only person who's ever made him feel someone else might know him deeper than he knows himself.

Breaking down the sentence below by applying it to the context of the scene might help illustrate how this works in practice.

"In the same way humans are born naked, thoughts, too, are born without words, and carefully consider which [words] to clothe themselves in."

Jun's feelings for Yaharu, with all its nuances and complications, is a thought not yet clothed with words. The moment he chooses a specific word to define it - to clothe it - it becomes more tangible. There are many words he can choose to define it, and they don't have to be mutually exclusive. "Affection", "admiration", "respect", etc. Most notably, as pointed out by the TL notes, Jun keeps coming back to 純愛, or "merciful love". But Yaharu's scathing accusations last chapter gave him a new word - a piece of clothing - to consider dressing those intangible feelings with: "sexual desire." And Jun has a personal investment with that word.

He admits in the beginning of the chapter that he's never felt sexual desire for a real person (See my replies to the library of eh for why I think it's specifically sexual). Initially he's fine with it since he's happy with just his friends and manga to keep him company, but as they grew up, he had to reckon with the reality that - though his friends may forever be a part of his life - the distance between them will inevitably shift as they grow to prioritize the family they built with their romantic partners. So he mistakes other people's ability to feel sexual attraction as a necessary precursor to a romantic relationship.

That's why Yaharu saying that he's motivated by sexual satisfaction fills him not with dread, but relief. To Jun, it's like Yaharu - whose insight he holds in high esteem - was giving him the path to the eternal companionship he feared would be forever out of reach. That's why he said he'd "be okay with that."

Correction: "Merciful love" is 慈愛 not 純愛 LOL.

aaaah thank you so much for your insight! Your explanation definitely helped illustrate the scene for me! I definitely grasped some vagueness of Jun’s intentions, but you really made them more clear.
