But this is a romance story, and of course Bjorn isn't going to fade into the night. He's going to try, and he's starting by trying to reflect and think deeply about what Erna wants. And he chose to write her a letter, something she enjoyed doing for him, and probably secretly wanted him to write her the whole time. Now back to rolling in my filth.

Never said he was a cute lil baby. In my reply I said it makes sense why Erna wants a divorce. However he asked for forgivness and is trying, putting in effort and trying at the moment. And that is something I don't mind reading. I like watching a male lead willing to actually think through why his actions were wrong and make up for it.

Because there are real people with mindset like Bjor, Authors romanticising these kind of traits and behaviors of men in literature is literally poisoning the heads of young girls who consume them. Would you let your sister or beloved friend get tangled with a man like bjor, experience everything Erna did but in Morden settings? Would you tell your beloved sister or friend to just wait it out and see because the man who abused, belittled, used and humiliated her is “trying” to change only now when they have finally tried to get out of his grasp? he hasn’t said a proper sorry since he forced himself into her HOME which is literally her sanctuary as of now which is sanctity of boundaries btw.
