Yeah, I wonder how it goes... I'm gonna predict that after Yacchan guilt-trips or demands to go, it's all hyped to purposely state his presence and friendship to Toono's parents. Yacchan is probably just slightly bragging about how close he is, but Toono is not really sure how to share his experience of Mori Mori Academy, so he would probably just roll with it. Though while Yacchan is just trying to share how well Toono is experiencing school, Kashima might have noticed how a bit uncomfortable Toono is getting with the house environment, as it has changed. That Kashima has to take Toono aside to remind him its okay. Then to clarify to Yacchan (or Toono showing his true expression when he leaves the room that his parents are in) Kashima shares the predictament that Toono is in with his Step Mother. Then it'll probably tie in how Kashima understands the feeling and show a more in-depth background of Kashima and Yacchan's family dynamic.

Yeah, I'm okay with whoever Toono goes with, as it's the author's decision. Though I do wonder how Tamura would be manage to be Yacchan. I'm a bit leaning towards Kashimax Toono, though, with a bit of sway with a friend who is YaguxToono, he made a good point. That Kashima is a bit 2 two-dimensional, as he is mainly showing he's a great companion in every way, though with Yaguchi, he had character growth.

That sounds like a very solid chapter! Do you write stories?? Loll but I do like that flow for the next chapter if it's indeed going to end up with the three of them in Toono's home. It really shows the differences of Toono's dynamic betweem the two of them. Yacchan proving his "worth" on Toono by telling their closeness and what they do together to Toono's parents (ykk that whole inferiority complex he got going on). I would also like to think of Yacchan being talkative with Toono's parents and being interested about how Toono was as a kid then it'll be something he'll tease Toono about which could release some tension he had inside. With Kashima, you entirely captured what he would do in that situation. He's the type to be in touch on how Toono's feeling especially he's the first person he opened up to. For that, I'd say KashiToono had more progress in terms of emotinal closeness than YaguToono (since Yacchan explaining why he did that were being stalled by Tanaka for now + Kashima aren't being a pussy w how he feels towards Toono). Though there's slow burn build up w YaguToono's rs.


To be honest, I'm borderline crazy with Toono ending up with Yacchan since they've grown a lot on me lol (especially Yacchan) that I might not shut up abt them if I were given a chance to speak abt it. Due to this, I don't enjoy pondering that if KashiToono ends up together, YaMura (srry idk their ship name) would surely happen. It'll be a long marination tho since the vulnerability Yacchan gave to Toono surely is a "Yacchan Premium". Tamura might end up being a rebound or smtg first before they could end up together. Before we get that whole conclusion from Toono, Kashima, and Yacchan, we might get a flashback + resolution of Itome and Akemi rs first.

I had same thoughts like your friend. If I'll compare Kashima to the first chapters and to the current ones, he feels stagnant. In comparison to Yacchan, well, we all know how much he has changed. He's still really undercooked despite having 30 chapters by now (I hope we can see nuance to his characterization sooner). I think I'd need to see him breaking that part of him who's so nice that he'll give everything away (just like how it is w his siblings) and be completely selfish for Toono bcs he wanted him that badly or smtg.

Not yet, I'm thinking of writing some, but to start off, I don't mind writing fanfics or just storyboards of how scenes of two characters would go. I have one on Yacchan and Tamura, it came to me in a dream. Basically, Tamura wants to cuddle with Yaguchi in bed, but knowing Yaguchi is insanely strong, he'll have better chances for that to be just a fantasy. Until he reached out to Akemi, who taught him about rope art and showed him the basics. In the end, it did not turn out well, as Yaguchi woke up to feel the ropes around him and someone behind him, but could not scream as he was gagged. Though when struggling to move, he felt that the ropes around his wrists were not tight, so he bought his time for Tamura to get close and punch the living daylights out of Tamura. Fun little morning for me to just think about that.
I don't think the stepmother would have much to say on Toono's childhood, as she met him around Toono's 2nd year of middle school. Though the dad wouldn't mind sharing, depending on his demeanor, I think he'll be a little on the lean-back kind of dad, but will be strict if he needs to be. I think the reason Yaguchi might take the confession slower than Kashima is that he's clearly trying to make it a perfect moment (probably to show he is not just flawed), as he had many chances to show his feelings, but it did not feel like the right time to share them. Though I wonder if Toono would be getting a new sibling, as it is a possibility for his parents to have one. I think it would give him a complex, as he currently feels guilty for not enjoying the presence of his stepmother, but now to show disdain to a new sibling just for their existence would just make Toono spiral. Though it would shine through for Kashima to probably know how to get through having a new family member, as Yaguchi is an only child.

I don't mind listening I'm all ears, (*Turns into Patrick Star with huge ears image*) Also I'm not into the shipping thing and never thought of the ship names for Yaguchi and Tamura (I was just coming up with "Mug" cause they have some mug looking faces XDD) I think Tamura would probably be with Yaguchi, whoever helped him after that big fight as Yaguchi repeatedly said that was not him, Shikatani (IDK how or why, but seeing how Shikatani can be a bit leniatent on him is kind of making me specualate), or he'll be alone. Would be looking forward for Akemi and Itome flashback.

Yeah, I think Kashima's big flaw is that he either does not want to lose another person he loves. Though I think the reveal is gonna be that Kashima is seeking someone to give his love to as, he knows the feelings Toono is going through as it gave us a peek that Kashima might've lost his mother too and is seeking the attention of to be noticed that he can be sad, but feels its best to just smile and move past it as he seems more mature compared to everyone else. That Yaguchi is just gonna be mad, as he normally gets everything he wants.

I am a big dreamer too when I sleep but I haven't dreamt abt them even if I got really REALLY hooked last January (I tend to dream about things that's always been on my mind). That's the first time I read the manga and how I started my year. The people rejoicing over Yuri's gesture for Fujisaki made me realize there's actually a manga of YBC sooo I read it. I'm also under the impression lke the others that this would be prn without plot bcs of the anime, but turns out it was really goood. I like the theme song over the anime though. I do think that the dad is the chill kind too! I hope they get a heart to heart talk, just so they can say to each other about what's inside them for so long; Toono not wanting the memories of his mom be altered and the reason why his dad remarried (could be he's scared to die alone or smtg). I like your idea more though, that they're having a child which could be the reason they're getting married. I hope they would talk it out though, so Toono won't have to experience all that. For me though, I think the reason Yacchan still haven't confessed is because he's being a bit of a pussy lmaoo. At least that's a fun way for me to think about so I won't feel frustrated that we still haven't got a confession out of him. Hell yeah, I was a loser without embarrassment. I never knew about the incognito tab in Chrome, so I ended up having 100 tabs of yaoi. My algorithm once showed me a streaming service that just shows homosexual stories, which I found hilarious, but sadly, I never got to see it again. I even once showed the amount of tabs to my now Bestie and his friend during lunch as a freshman, and their faces were hilarious. I've been following the manga, I think, since 2018 or 2017, as I discovered yaoi when I was in middle school. I'll see when I feel creative, I would just spend that creativity just writing that little story down. Thank you, I love writing little stories or monologues, I wrote one about Kaze to ki no uta (A really old BL, really good, but very dramatic) I wrote a part where a character is describing Paris to his roomate, I left my upperclassmen and teacher speechless with it, I wish I saved it bc I can't find it anymore T-T.

Yeah, true, Yacchan had times he could've confessed to Toono, but seeing the best time he could've was during the fireworks display, but he messed up as he went the wrong direction. Showed how much he planned it out, only for it to go terribly wrong, but he is glad Toono still enjoyed the gesture. I think Yacchan just need something to spark the confidence within him to know that he has to share his feeling to Toono or else he will forever beat himself down knowing he never got his chance.

Yeah, Shikatani is my favorite character because he is so funny with his responses and I love how much he changes his character whenever he knew he needed to act like a leader or the adult in certain situations. Yeah, the dynamic between Shikatani and Tamura is very close-knit, seeing that Shikatani doesn't really refuse spending a night with him, despite the number of times Tamura tries to gross him out (I think he once said Shikatani was tied to a chair while Tamura purposely picked his nose and tried to get close to it, which caused Shikatani to vomit? and faint.) I also predict that it was Shikatani who helped Tamura after the fight that led him to have the nosebleed, bc one, Yacchan keeps heavily denying ever interacting with Tamura, and two, Shikatani shows that he acts mature and compassionate when he needs to be. I think it would be a cute twist that it led to that, but IDK. Also, we now learned that Tamura mainly prefers the looks of a person over personality. I never really see the connection of Itome leaving Akemi (IK what is wrong with me), but Akemi said theirs 3 rules that we YET have learned about. Itome knew how close Akemi and Minami were, seeing that he witnessed them making out in a classroom, and the third shares what is happening in Minami's life that would shatter or hurt Akemi entirely, knowing that he needs to move on. I would want to share that Akemi's advice that he gave to Toono, saying, "You don't need to have feelings right now, but you'll soon grow those feelings when being together," might be the implication that Akemi had with Itome. Also, I want to know the dynamic of Akemi's previous relationship, because he's SO insistent that he is a top. I think it might be he doesn't want to lose the one thing he had with Minami or doesn't want to feel inferior, as Akemi doesn't like women and/or probably being treated as one because of his height and cuteness.

Yeah, I kind of didn't have anything to boast with Yacchan, but I'm glad you enjoyed reading it!

I only watched the anime before and when I saw him, I immediately knew I like it when men were feminine and maybe has a little attitude WHICH were also the reason I'm head over heels for him AND Yacchan. But back in their uhh I forgot what it's called but like their school outside event and when he got really worried about his missing freshmen and he's real mature for them UGHHHH I LOVE MY MALEWIFE SM. Keep talking about Shikatani x Tamura, I need the delusions LFMFSOSHA. Thoughh I think the nosebleed thing is really Yacchan, but he's only denying it cuz he detest Tamura. They don't really have the conventional relationship so I wouldn't impose that onto them, yet there's a part of me that knows they, as a character in a story, will only grow without each other (and would serve drama for us too lol). Akemi gotta stop using Itome just bcs he's still longing for his brother, and Itome gotta stop taking advantage of it just to only have a little bit of Akemi. With Akemi's topping streak, maybe it was a power/control thing for him (which I think suits him). Not saying that there's assertive ≠ bottoms, but if I remember correctly Minami were also a top? He's hunting them tops down to bottom for him typa thing. Just a little silly and surface level theory on that.

Yeah, I'm so used on using sites that would constantly open tabs on a new page. I used to use a different yaoi manga site to read yaoi on. I got so used to the pop ups that I knew that after 2 or 3 taps I got ready to close the new tab. My family doesn't know I'm a fujoshi either, as it would freak them out how much I would spend on merch for YBC.

I also get the feeling of just rotting someone's brain about BL, as I did the same when I met my best friend. Like it was the biggest risk on my end. I was a freshman during acting class, majority of the class were hiding the fact we were on our phones. My BFF asked, "what are you watching?", IDK what got on my mind to just show him a scene of the sex toys on the coffee table in the YBC (BTW I downloaded the 2 episodes of YBC and now have the audio volumes of it too.) He only saw the funny bits from YT From there, I read with him YBC (he hasn't caught up, but I'll have to catch up. as his favorite is Yacchan, but he hates Akemi, and we became best friends ever since. It's so fun talking to someone who also likes YBC, as it's so annoying that this yaoi is getting so much hate for people who aren't giving it a chance or saying people should be on a list. Like, actually spend some time reading it, and you will see we haven't seen teachers preying on the students; when you do the club actually takes action if any harm is happening. If the person does read and hates it, I would gladly like to discuss it with them, as I enjoy hearing people praising something I like as well as hearing opposing opinions.

For Paris, it mainly describes Gilbert's (MC's partner) time in Paris when he was 8 or 9 Y/O. The way he was the center of attention, noble people begging him to arrive to their parties, recieving many gifts from them. Though it was just surface level kindness, as when he arrives home he is alone and left in the care of his "Augu" a cold distant man that treats him like a puppet. The manga is a good read, as I said its dramatic, artsyle really good, just got to keep in mind the TW as the setting is set in ancient times.

You're gonna tie up Yacchan and lock him in a closet or locker. Disguise yourself as him and confess to Toono yourself? Dang, you a good friend for him, lets hope Toono is dense headed and won't tell the difference.

HELL YEAH SHIKATANI THE GOAT! I think it would be cute for Shikatani to cross-dress Tamura with the clothes he buys, it would be so cute. Tamura is gonna "feel bonita~" Another thing I like about Shikatani's character is the close friendship he has with Akemi, as they would be able to sense if either of them is acting off. Which I see it is so cute! Like Akemi knew the thing Shikatani had with the science teacher had to end immediately, and Shikatani was worried about Akemi's distress over Minami's situation. One thing that I want to theorize is, did Minami had a GF during his time in Mori Mori academy, bc to be married and to instantly have a kid in a year time spand is a bit fast. I just think maybe Minami just wanted to be with Akemi, as he's very cute and short, and probably knew the longest since Akemi attended Mori Mori since middle school. Though if that's the case, I wonder why Itome would say nothing about it, like was he threatened by Minami like we need more info on these third year's past. I can't really say that Akemi doesn't like Itome as, he did show concern and was worried when the thought of Itome being missing in the forest. I totally love how your lore connects back to YBC HAHAHA my old friend before, we're only aware of the ova and the ost so that's the only thing we managed to talk about. And in my current friend group, I have 2 other friends who also have nerdy interests like mine and we call ourselves wkawka (Weird Kid Allegation²) loll. Totally agree that they should check the manga first. I was originally surprised when I first read it because I didn't think it would be this fire. My initial impression would just be bunch of smut but Tanaka is such a great mangaka. I think one of the reason people dislikes YBC is because these are bunch of highschoolers doing the deeds that I saw them being angry at Tanaka and such. Maybe I'm just the go with the flow kind without my principles upfront when it comes to reading, which is why I completely understood that the YBC plot isn't something to be taken seriously that I only see the fact they're highschoolers doing that loosely. Anyways, it's completely understandable if it makes them uncomfortable which is why they don't want to check the manga out first, but saying "YBC sucks" without getting into it is SLANDERRRR.

Shikatani is like the referee for Akemi and Itome relationship too. He's like this omniscient with their sides in their relationship; Shikatani saw Itome after he witnessed Minami and Akemi, then Shikatani also trying to talk to Akemi about what's up with Minami. I think Minami got his gf pregnant then proceed to get married (which is how it usually goes here in Asia at least). A part of Minami still wants Akemi for sure, but since Akemi didn't fought for him before and he's soon to be a father, it wouldn't work anymore. From how I see it, I think Itome didn't say anything because he knows that Akemi were downbad to his brother, and there's nothjng he could do. And even if he do thinkof sayjng smtg, i feel like he's afraid of him facing the truth . Yeahh there's still some parts with that hasn't been explored yet and I'm excited to learn about how's Itome and Minami's relationship as siblings.

Akemi and Itome's relationship were the most complex one in YBC (at least for me) so I'm having a bit of a hard time to figure out Akemi's intention and affection towards Itome based on what we only know at the moment. Itome's loyalty towards Akemi is highly commendable. Lowkey the level of commitment Yuri showed when he left the club for Fujisaki.

Not really, I mainly just own 3 of the mangas right now and the limited edition Yuri Ayato figure garage kit. When I learned the existence of that figure, I begged my mom to buy it for me. I was lucky it wasn't too lewd. All Yuri had was a hard-on, but it was barely noticeable. I was lucky because the price was $100+, but I was confused about why there were two different option prices. Mine being cheaper by a hundred dollars, until I learned the $200+ pricetag was for the figure being completely painted and ready to be assembled. When mine arrived, I had to prep, paint, make resin, and assort it myself. I still have him in his box. One day, I'll make him beautiful and alive. Until I know how to paint figures and resin things, I will complete Yuri. I hope they make a Shikatani figure one day, I would so pay the extra 2 hundred dollars to have him ready for display, no matter how lewd he is.

Nawww man, I thought I was the only freak too, I mainly get invested in the action scenes too. Like, I don't mind reading really good stories (I would recommend Penguin Frontier's works, they are drawn beautifully, like that artist puts effort into drawing toenails), but if I were to choose between reading a good story or straight-up porn, I'd choose the porn option. Though I do enjoy comedy ones, as they are very creative with their jokes, which would always be in my head. Yeah, I hope they would enjoy the journey on how Yacchan would try to win Toono's attention away from Kashima. As well as an addition to Fujisaki coming back to school from his suspension.

Yeah, I just find it annoying that the media would just completely hate on YBC, just because it's popular and doesn't want to dig in the trenches of the worst yaois or hentais that are out there. Like, I know one yaoi that if the media finds it and sees the characters and setting, they would lose their minds and would attack the author. I can defend the author, for them to acknowledge that their choice of characters was really risky. I want them to update it to just see how it ends. Hopefully, with the 2 characters getting help from trusted adults, the MC teacher being arrested, and the father of the younger character being arrested too. Hell yeah, Tanaka is an amazing managaka, she writes so many great stories, like IDK if you know her popular one "Happy of the End" is written so beautifully and made me tear up at one point.

Yeah, when rereading, Akemi and Minami's interaction, it kind of gives an understanding of how their relationship was. Akemi seemed confident that Minami would hold the relationship after graduation, but Akemi did not chase after him. I wonder if this is supposed to clue us, the reader, that Akemi expects people to always be with him or never feel abandoned, since he is very popular and persuasive. I wonder if Minami didn't have enough confidence to just be with Akemi, as Minami and Itome's family are really rich and would most likely have high expectations for the eldest son. OH??!!! Kaze to ki no uta. WAIT before you read it, I would recommend watching the OVA first, as it's beautifully animated, even if it's old. There's a Japanese dub and an Italian dub, which surprised me. Like the YBC OVA, it doesn't give the viewers all the information that has happened, so even if you watch it completely, it would still leave you guessing what has happened. Especially when I watched it when I was in 6th grade, like I thought the OVA was Kazeki to no uta, until I learned there was a manga 3 years later. I think you can watch it on YT or some yaoi manga sites, really cute OVA its gonna look like an old Disney movie IMO. Also, I might reread it with you, as I haven't finished it. Another thing I think you could tell is whose my favorite character. And yeah, I see that a lot of the similarities between Gilbert and Ash, as Gilbert's design was inspired by Björn Andrésen (he inspired many popular anime character designs, may he rest in peace)
