ending thoughts

i think the story would've benefited a lot if it had a few more chapters. i feel like most of the people who read this just felt unsatisfied, as did i, with the ending. sure, you could argue it is more realistic and it does lead to an unconventionally hopeful end (as both are trying to adapt to each other's tempo slowly but surely bc they do indeed hold a lot of love with each other), but the ending just didn't stick right.

i dont think the uke should be lambasted for his beliefs in love and sexuality, especially since he wasn't in an exclusive relationship with the seme. it wasn't cheating at all.
it's just that the point of contention is that the whole situation is a bit too one-sided. most people, i imagine, tend to sympathize with the characters that they share the same ideals with, and as "conventional" as he was, that character was the seme. hence why some people hold the thought that the seme would've been "happier" with the other uke because the latter is the "conventional" option. ofc that wouldn't rly have worked bc thats not what the seme's heart truly wants.

anyway, both have their failings in communication, but as i stated earlier, they're slowly working things out, and while there may still be a lot of hurdles they need to face, i think they'll do better to overcome it next time (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
