Maybe I'm an immature person who just likes drama but I'm still hoping for a downfall of the ml and mc leaving his trash ass. I understand separating work life and personal life but that only works if you don't have any sort of personal relationship with your colleague, if you do then your colleague and you shouldn't be butting heads while at work.
Most people suffer from work stress even after work because they can't separate those two lives and if you are constantly arguing with a person at work whom you have close personal ties with, you are bound to develop resentments. Plus mc has different reasons to get angry at ml. First, the account. Second, he is an AE, a profession mc hates with guts and third, he is a rude ass who doesn't care about the members of the team.
Both of them have different work values and you need compatibility to be a couple. I'm not saying people with different values can't be compatible but if you are constantly debating about whether the words you speak and actions you take are valid or not, then even if they are disguised as frequent couple's small banters the relationship will suffer a terrible blow in the long run. If ml was not a love interest to mc then mc would never entertain this guy or even stay on the project and would be constantly talking shit about him.
Also, I wouldn't be able to ignore the fact that my boyfriend is an asshole at his job for no reason. You can argue that what ml said is right and the people on the team should do a great job in first go but...nothing is perfect in the first proposal. On top of that, they are just interns or college students, of course they won't be able to produce best results. These are harsh critique. He could have already given her a direction and weigh pros and cons like a true professional. I don't like this goody-two-shoes behavior. Also, a great way to demotivate the team. Now the team is even more divided and scared of showing their creativity. That's just someone who enjoys their power and uses his experience as a back-up to bully others.
