Based on the author's note, it's due to the best timing to pull a "season finale". Which also is the best time to go on hiatus and have the author rest.

And nah, ya not the only one. A lot of novel readers (including me) would join you on that, cuz the novel's ending felt rather...speed runned.
YES OMG, like the whole arc was so plain and boring and wdym they didn’t even show us Izek vs C*zar fighting scene? It was entirely skipped. And wdym we didn’t get any Ellivan? Only some random dude’s story. Let’s just appreciate the effort artist puts into this work cuz she’s literally amazing and is fixing every plot holes of the original work.
The only thing that gives me hope Is that og Ruby used holy grail and her body was drained from holy power to return time. And since our Ruby doesn’t have any holy power that could bring us to the conclusion that og Ruby and current Ruby are the same.. but I think author left this up to our imagination. Those who are complaining abt the sudden hiatus I think she went on hiatus not only because it was the most perfect time to stop temporarily but also because of her health issues because she wrote a post on Twitter before that she had some health issues. Anyway I’m happy that the story won’t be ending soon but also unhappy because I will have to suffer without Ruby and Izek
