My first read of it I actually had my feelings opposite of you. I felt real bad for the ml and mc was pissing me off.
Reread recently and I gotta say. It’s an unhealthy relationship in general. Like people with opposing personalities can get together and stay together but it’s like you said they didn’t even try to navigate their problems.
T_T I love the plot idea but it feels like the execution is off.
I think I just have more sympathy for the MC because atleast he is uncomfortably direct about all the ways he takes everything thats said to him. I wasnt ever suprised or thrown off by his responses and feelings. But it just bothered me more that the ML knows all of this about him but still pushes and gets angry about it as if its just new and sprung upon him everytime.
Add in how shitty he was to the girl the MC was friends with and how he was to multiple people close to him in the story I just cant like the guy and it sucks. I really agree the execution is off when it comes to the opposites attract trope (which sucks because the art/characters are gorgeous)

Ik this story is super old by now but I truly wasn't able to feel the chemistry between these characters? Maybe its bc I think the Red Haired guy is a general jerk to literally every other person in the story and that the MC just got dragged into his orbit and was having a bad stressful time outside of them just having sex the entire story?
All they do is argue and yell and shit on eachother until they kiss and have sex and then say they like eachother. It still feels like the MC just kinda likes this guy bc he's never had a chance to like anyone else on top of the guy forcing his constant presence on him. The ML says he likes him but doesnt understand how he thinks and constantly sits around distressed about it. But thats like entirely who the MC is? Thats his brain?
Hell this recent side chapter is new and the only thing they do is argue about parts of eachothers actions and then Makeout and go to have sex. WE DONT EVEN GET TO SEE THEM PROPERLY BONE! All this drama and distress and I cant even see this dudes hole. Or just proper sex scenes in general. Its a good read but this relationship is not really enjoyable imo
