I wonder if it's common irl that it bleeds through in fiction? I'm not coming at it on a high horse. Just noticing a trend I see quite often. I'm definitely no stranger to reading dead dove themes in fiction so it's no sweat. just gets pretty stale after a while esp if there's no other plot points and it's main driving force
