thats… still not what’s happening. it’s not like in his eyes he is seeing a different person, rather he is so mentally ill he believes the only way someone will be able to understand his pain is if they experience it as well. and in this moment is is playing the role of the abuser. it is called compulsive repetition, where a person has the unconscious tendency to reenact traumatic events. hence why he’s saying things manipulative like “i left all those guys to help you out” he is mirroring the officer that abused him. afterwards he feels empty and self loathes bc even he knows incheol is different from others who willingly hurt him and abandon him. that’s why.

Bruh… I said “given that he sees incheol as A cop” not THE cop… when you’re young you automatically think that cops are trustworthy and safe adults. However that perception was shattered after that cop did that to him. So pyengohwa doesn’t really trust ANY cops. That’s why he literally asked are you a cop to incheol! Like look at the expression on his face when he asked incheol that. He literally looks scared since he’s rmemebering that. And then when Incheol says something like think twice about who’s in control that’s when pyenoghwa snaps.
yeah i definitely get where you’re coming from and that makes sense. again im not trying to argue. but pyeonghwa already knows incheol is not a police officer or a real estate agent. he didn’t know his identity completely but he does know he is involved with the redevelopment project. just before getting beat up he literally says “is it normal to kick people out of their homes?”
and his face was not one of fear rather it was more cautious, like “should is tell him/trust him?” the way his lips quiver makes it feel like (to me at least) he’s trying to hold back from telling something but he is not sure if he should. and like he always does he redirects the question he doesn’t want to answer. which is incheol asking about connection with the cop. i mean it’s not the first time he asks a question he already knows the answer to. in a previous chapter he asked if they slept together knowing they didn’t so.
and im pretty sure he only got “excited” after seeing incheol stained with his semen and blood.
Guys now that we know about the cop. I realized something about chapter 21. When pyeonghwa tells incheol to “puke” “do it” that’s basically his was of getting back at the cop. Since we know the cop graped him when he was young he probably puked just like incheol :( And given that he sees incheol as a cop (since he asked earlier on “are you a cop or something”) he’s basically graping him as revenge thinking of that cop who took him in.
