I skimmed through till the latest raws, and the BL tag is mostly for the side characters, not for the MC(yet). FYI, official manhua apps usually don't have a "BL" tag, so even chinese netizen is confused whether it should be categorized in that genre. The "sequel", [Expert Nurturing Clan - Continuation], which adds this whole thing up to 100+ chapters, is NOT tagged as BL even in mangaupdates, and I'm assuming uploaders just added the tag because there're side characters involved in homosexual acts in the first few arcs.
It's super hinted there might be feelings involved, but there's not much romance directly involving MC with any of the guys(yet). Most of the couples are currently BG(boyxgirl), and there's quite a bit of angst involved. There's a sect that directly has a male leader dual cultivating with other males(that will become a super important character later) so there's that. I assume MC will have more of his own romance line later on, but the story is focused on their journey of collecting old classmates back.
This is an extremely slow burn manhua that involves the pov of different characters. The plot mainly revolves around a class of students that got transported into this xianxia world at different timings, trying to find each other and get back to their real world. The main problem and conflicts starts when you realise they are all seperated into different fractions and have different loyalties. Some arrived in this world from early childhood, while others arrived way later.
The story is still continuing and it's a pretty serious manhua where characters do die, and a lot of past life relationships come to play. It's a complex web of the characters either differentiating their two different lives, adapting to changed morality, or trying their hardest to go back together while keeping their sanity. It's a little slow for me rn thats why I've been skimming it, but it's pretty interesting nevertheless.
